Engine & Powertrain Development
From high power drag racing, to endurance racing, to passenger cars and trucks, SSE engineers have designed a variety of engines and powertrain systems, including all wheel drive systems and electric drivetrains. We have proven capabilities in casting and machining, as well as being the pioneers who developed such technologies as compacted graphite iron for engine blocks, CNC machining of engine components, and the first electronic fuel injected crate engines. We have even designed engines that have beaten Ferrari in professional competition!
SSE engineers also have experience in developing projects and assets for marketing purposes, including tradeshows! This is a magazine cover that was received in the debut of the GM EFI crate engines on the Hot Rod Power Tour.
